As I needed a homepage quickly and for as little cost as possible I realised that going for a vps or dedicated server wasn’t really an option and was thinking about using google blogs or wordpress. However it was suggested by @pootsbook that I use github pages and jekyll.

Once I’d spent a few hours reading about Jekyll and looking at examples it made a lot of sense. I use git a lot and while I have had a github account for quite some time I haven’t really gotten around to using it.

Hopefully once this site is done I’ll have the time to start cleaning and uploading my configs for my machines, mainly archlinux boxes.
